erm
well i kinda threw it
and now one of the thumb buttons dont work too good ...
dont spose anyone knows how to open one of these things up?
it dont seem to have any screws :/

D'OH! What you do that for!!

Anyway I've got one and I love mine too much to throw it around. I reckon the screws are under the four grey pads on the bottom of the mouse.

If it were me I'd just send it back to Microsoft under warranty. Works a treat with Nokia and mobile phones. Break it, send it back and get a new one. No questions asked.

I thought you hated that mouse? therefore, why would you want to fix.

Mikey - MS will probably charge him twice the original cost to pay for a warrenty. Then offer him a free replacement in exchange for everything he's got. Nice and fair, see.

Yup mikeymate, screws under the easily removable grey pads.
Bit of a pity really, someone else told me it was under the Product ID label - After tearing off every label on the bottom to find nowt there
