Friend of mine has it, had a little play on it and have to say It shats over everything else I've seen. Screenshots you may have looked at do the game no justice at all, graphics are excellent, npc interaction is brilliant, the game is huge and knowing SOE there will be lots more added just like EQ1.

As for quests, millions of em, you can look at a book and get a quest from it, look at a gravestone and off you go on a quest to avenge the murdered people, fantastic game. Can't wait for it to come out, although i hope there is a Good Vs Evil server.

No such thing as Buffbots on it either, buffs are party only(when u leave party buffs drop) and all buffs have a range, go out of that range and they drop.

I'll keep my account running on DAOC for a while but can't see me staying on for long after this comes out.

Mythic should be taking note of all the posts on EQ2 and WoW, amount of people planning on going onto new games does not bode well for DAOC.

Think i will play this if WoW won't be as good as I hope it will be. Although there are some other mmorpg's being developed that also look quite promising, so not totally sure, too much choice. :(

With Verant behind it the game will have depth as well as a huge evergrowing number of zones. I have a friend who got into the very exclusive first round of beta (around 200 people worldwide) and he really raves about it.

The game is pretty complicated which to me is a good thing as it allows a lot more variety. I think it may be the first game that really try's to make combat interesting with the many options of the 'heroic opportunities' game mechanic.

If you really want to know about the game this seems to be the best site I have found so far.

Excellent and regularly updated.
