Eq Duration

Please can someone explain to me how duration works? I know the lower it is the faster your piece degrades. But what i wonder is is there a critical limite, where your piece will be permanently destroyed or damaged? If so it really sucks, cause my pieces can hold maybe 1-2 repairs at 100% and after that they drop like 10% duration with each repair. So i hit 50% duration after just a handful repairs. Kinda lame if eq lasts so short... Specially when i paid tons for good crafted weapons etc.

Is there any way to remedy this?

If you got an 100% qua item you can repair 3 times without any loss on Durability.

And after that the Dur begins to drop slow.. you shouldn't worry.

Only use yellow-orange con weapons and armour.

Have it enchanted by a NPC Enchanter.
