ooops - sorry - it's the live version on Monday. No time to alllow the 20 or so Enligh players to test ... love GOA.

Ah ... once more the pecking order for servers is laid bare.

Mind you, it is rumoured a copy of DAOC was to be found in a UK shop over the weekend. However, the GAME depot realised its' mistake and sent it back to France.

Well given that the files come over from Mythic in English (albeit american), english testing is a very low priority when compared to the translations. Especially as Mythic did all the english testing ages ago and a lot more thoroghly than GOA will do.

We are talking about GOA here, the ones who mess up a perfectly working US patch while making it English

I atleast don't mind at all that they don't test english version.
They're probably confident that it works if they don't put it to public test (and they've tried french and german anyway) so I just want the live version thanks
I have skipped all the betas on foundations because I don't want to spoil it and want it to be all new when it goes live

Actually the reason is Mythic only sent a fully working English patch yesterday (friday). Before that it was pretty much impossible to do testing in English.

Instead of creating a couple of more weeks of delay, GOA decided to patch ASAP in order to make up for some lost time.

Honestly, if you wanted to mess around with Foundations for free, you could have done so during the French period. My French sucks and I was able to figure most of it out.

If French really is a big problem, Gorre is currently in German.
Yes, an English open test would have been nice, but if it means extra delays in this and future patches, I don't mind it being skipped.

Sadly GOA do not have a good track history of not messing up the English version so testing would have been good. And if they only sent a working english one over yesterday, then they would need to apply that to the French/German versions too else they would be at a different patch version.
