English DaoC, German SI

I've bought an English copy of DaoC here at home, but haven't got the money for SI. anyways, I'm going to a trip to Poland->Tschech Rep.-->Germany in a week. I most probably would get my hands on a german copy from there. (cheaper than here too probably)
anyways - i've read through the forums, and know how do get english language on german client.
But do English DaoC and German SI go well together? or is it all about the update.dat file?

It's completely different clients... i have the english DAoC Client and a german SI one here. Just change the update.dat and enjoy
