Actually, Germany may not finish top of their group now, so England wouldn't play them.

But....England may not finish top of THEIR group, so they might indeed play England.

engerland! .... are shit. i predicted last night! i said they'd be shit but win 2-0
TedTheDog says:
and dont start me on the eyeties, bunch of cheating fucking tossers
TedTheDog says:
diving is cheating. simple as that. and nobody dives more than the italians.thats why i hate football these days. cheating is tolerated. they should be red carding divers even if it means some teams get their whole team sent off

The Dawg is all class :p

Actually - I havent seen too much "simulation" as they call it.

Sure - it has happened (noticed it more byParaguay last night) where you touch someone and they drop like a stone.

Was expecting more of this - im sure we will get it when the next round and mote important games come up

Nope they dont play each other if they both finish second in their group, which looks likely. Ecuador only need a draw with Germany to finish top.

However I think I owuld rather England play Germany (it will fire the players up) than play Ecuador.

Read the thread. Deebs has a justifiable foot in both camps. I think you'll find most of us who don't have that luxury support only England, no matter how many heart attacks we have to endure.

I re-read the thread, what is your point?

Deebs said 'we' in the context of England. I assumed he is English, but now I assume he is part Italian or married to one, since he is now supporting Italy. Perhaps someone can enlighten me. He summarised in his post the rantings of about 20 English supporters in a pub I was in last Saturday in Dublin.(maybe they were Scots in disguise):p

Exactly what England need. Also beating Germany on their own soil will be another bonus. The Germans want to play us to prove the last 5-1 win was a fluke, be nice to prove them wrong? :)

To be honest brazil and France, two of the better teams out there both looked as shockingly out of shape as england so atm to me its anyones game

:england:

Well if you'd seen France at the last world cup, or qualifying for this one, you would not consider them one of the better teams out there.

They waste talented players more than sven does.

if england play germany in 2nd round all the ref's will be on germany's side though (they favoured portugal in 2004, and South Korea in 2002.... )

sure they did, I mean in the germany v america, germany v Korea games both teams against the germans were denied legitimate penalties.

Cal? That makes no sense. What world cup are you talking about? Germany haven't played USA in this world cup, or South Korea, they are not in the same group.

Get a clue dickhead, the refs were sucking South Korean cock at WC 2002. The Italians had a clear goal disallowed for offside and Totti sent off for nothing, along with numerous other shocking decisions, then the Spanish got done over by them on a couple of very dodgy decisions in the next round. The linesmen have always been on the home teams side, do I have to bring up 1966 like a proper boring English **** to prove my point?
