After unwillingly pulling myself away from the second leg of last night's "auld enemies" bash, I can safely say that having 13 players a side is definately a change from 8 v 8 CTF.
I only managed to play one match last night
Speaking from a Scot's point of view, not once did I run to an Inventory station and find that our power had gone down. With at least 6 of the team on defence duty at any one time, it was sooo much harder for the English to successfully destroy our gens. In fact I dont think they ever got them!
With an APC of NME Heavies coming in every 3 minutes or something plus the occasional light (yes you Ego
it was a wonder our base stayed operational at all!
Alas, it was not to be as neither team could return with a cap. As is usual on "ScaryBay2", the game hinged on the team in control of the tower.
The English scum successfully managed to capture it at the very end but in the dying seconds, I managed to successfully penetrate their defences (suck on that one Xtro!) and reach the switch...which failed to go off before the game ended...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Sooo close...sooo damn close....
Thanks go to the defence on the Scotland team for keeping our base in such good condition while the rest of us were trying to avoid Kittens and her sniping
Thanks also to the England team for such sports-man/lady-ship and to the admins for a fun game.
Since I misseed the first game, is there someone who could be bothered to say a little somthing about what went on?
/me sleep some more now...
