Shame the England cricket team probably wont get the media credit they deserve.

A group of professional sportsmen who represent the country with pride, work as a unit and take their work seriously. Absolutely demolished India so far in this series and they are genuinely a sports team England should be proud of.

It's down to consistency really. England almost always give 90%+. India have varied between 60% and 10% so far (figures not necessarily accurate.)

India were very very bad. Their attack is shocking for test cricket level and once Zahn picked up an injury they looked pretty unlikely to take 20 wickets in a match.

However...

You can only beat the team in front of you and the England team set such a high level of preparation and professionalism in their approach to the game I think they would have beaten India even if they had better form etc.

Some of our other less successful sports teams could learn a lot from the approach these guys take. Remember.....

I agree India have not been playing very well at all.

But it takes a lot more than 1 test series to get to be number one in the world.
It's not an easy task and England have a superb team with superb bowlers that can also bat!

To just turn around and say meh they did it because India is crap takes away the fact they have put loads of effort in winning 2 Ashes tournaments and winning the last 5 test series.

Well done England!! You should be very proud of your team and not piss all over it! Unless of course you don't care and would like them to be a bunch of collapsing imbeciles again.

It's really not surprising why England can be so crap in most team sports with this kind of attitude.

Problem with wins like this, by so big a margin, against an India side who everyone was calling the best in the world two months ago (and were ranked a good way above SA and England in the test rankings), is, well, its India. I'm worried about shenanigans.

The day when England are number one in the Test and ODI rankings is when people should really start celebrating, and when they've stayed there for a year, then they can start talking about England as a world force again.
