well 2 elds in TD group have changed to light (poma, eso) so i have been trying debuff assiting with them... they seem to like hitting for 1k damage :>

Frontload damage, and interrupts as always. Mby abit more as a debuffer as its will be worth speccing for spec range dd's with the new RA system.

Shame they have fcking nerfed the debuffs to 8 secs, in PVE they last for 2 nukes and 1 stun uke:

I doubt that even with all TOA items in the world your debuff lasts 2 secs on a tank with high AoM

For a chanter it'll be a case of trial and error i think as regards spec. I have a feeling that some form of hybrid spec may appear as popular to balance ranged and pb combat.

Respeccing to 50 light is, imo, not the way forward as in a tight spot you really need pb power, more than having mana as a secondary spec would give. This is mainly as mana elds need a half-decent pb box in which to operate in tight keep fight situations.....otherwise chanters will become superfluous and a secondary choice to elds.

50 mana or 50 light specced chanters will, imo, struggle to compete with hybrid specced ones come NF.

Is the 50% heat debuff and top PB really needed in NF?

What about a 37 light / 39 mana spec for 30% debuff and a 50 effective light spec (37 + 13) @ RR3? That would give a deadly baseline nuke (with 30% debuff), second best PB and a bunch of different debuffs. 2 levels of Mastery of Focus (I think?) adds 10 levels to the spec spells for resist purposes too.
