Empires: Dawn of the Modern World

"From the award-winning creators of Empire Earth and the lead designer of the renowned Age of Empires, comes one of the most anticipated developments of the year, Empires: Dawn of the Modern World. Spanning 1,000 years in human history, Empires, predominates as truly massive and intensely rich and strategic experience.

Players will have the ability to command highly tactical battles in lush, surreal environments, while incorporating the individual skills and advantages granted solely to their civilization. Empires will also be featuring a next-generation 3D engine that will enable a plethora of visual effects never before seen in a real-time strategy title. This engine comes as an impressive improvement over that used for Empire Earth, using such features as animation smoothing and real-time shadows. From forging powerful empires during the Dark Ages, to the relentless fighting on the battlefields throughout World War II, Empires: Dawn of the Modern World will leave gamers entranced in its epic scale empire-building and combat on land, air, and sea."

This game looks like it's going to be great. There's several videos on IGN and GameSpot, although I'm pretty sure they're on the site above as well. Either way, check those out. :)

pimping is REALLY frowned upon on this forum. You got off pretty lightly compared to others tbh.

I was just posting about a new game which I thought looked interesting. And last time I checked this is a gaming forum. I wasn't spamming my own personal site or business, so lay off.

I don't need some arrogant forummer telling me "I got off easy" for posting about a game on a gaming forum.

I was explaining why people were coming down on you like a ton of bricks.

If I was being arrogant my post would have had contained numerous expletives. Like fuck off and get your facts straight you doss cunt...that kind of thing.

You registered just to start the thread. Which is generally called pimping. Which makes you a fag all in all.

No, I did not register just to post a thread. I registered and that was my first thread. But after being flamed to death for posting about a game on a gaming forum I probably won't post another. Happy?

What you dont understand is that there are loads of people who register just to spam....and we dont like it!

Your post didnt look like someone who is here to join the community...it looked like someone spamming.

Your post's entire tone just smells like a rotten spammer....it was too formal and structured...

Welcome to the forums! :)

you should know that we get loads and loads of people registering here to do just that, a one post pimp targeted at "whatever". we've just had a huge spray of spam targeted at a certain online game, that now results in an instaban.
your post was very similar, with just about every trigger in place to be classed as a pimp. perhaps this time we got it wrong, but you'll have to agree that once again it's a classic few bad apples screwing it up for the rest of us nuts.
