Emoting and COC?

Whats the deal with people being banned/suspended for emoting in the game now?
Richimaster and Froboz that I know of in the past few days.
Whats the Official rule on this?
I always personnally ignore ppl who emote spam me after I die and consider it part of the game (i.e. developing enemies etc). Ive /ruded ppl for various reasons within the game and /hugged /bowed etc after a fight.. is this now against the COC?
Pesonally I have Fraps footage of loads of ppl jumping up and down on my corpse and /ruding or /slapping me Setas springs to mind instantly but I would never submit it to goa out of somekind of revenge to get them banned because I got owned/killed etc by them I think thats sad..

ANd YES! just when my x realm ban was over, i get 7 days ban by emoting Horner, who probally is the biggest imoting kid there is. 3 pages og rude, blablabla. 3 days is ok, 7 is too much. Im out! bb

SPAMMING emotes is against the CoC, doing a emote a couple times isnt

Harassment of another person, insults or remarks intended to hurt another person will not be tolerated.

might be they (GOA) just did a cleanup of the people that abused it that day or within the last week or something.. if so many are suspended I'm guessing it's not because of reports made to RightNow by one or two persons.

edit: can I get suspended for /rude-spamming mobs?

That's like a little kid telling the miss in school or your mom about one kid does so it gets punished, but neglect to mention it was guilty of the same.
Somehow i would think as an adult you got more sense then that... i guess i was wrong
No idea how old those people are that report these things, but my advice... grow up and stop acting like a child. So what if the other person is acting like one? Are you gonna lower yourself to that level?

If there is another player near you who gets annoyed and reports you, yes you will get banned as it is against the coc

spamming anything (/y /rude /say PIGEONS!!!11) repeatedly in an annoying way can get you in trouble for flooding.

the odd /rude or /taunt or whatever is part of the game though.

Yes im banned for 3 days, they call it emote flooding lol. ive asked to see the screenies etc and also asked why they make emotes when you will just get banned for using them. Be back on Thursday for some farming

You can cut n' slice food in your kitchen with a knife and you can kill ppl with it. Now should knives be illegal irl??
Its not that you use it that gets you the ban. It’s HOW you use it as explained with some “easy to understand examples” above. Guess some didn’t understand it.

You dont get banned for the emote tho, but for the spam.

You would prolly be banned if you stood in aegirhamn doing /b Hi everyone! every 2 secs for 1 hour aswell, does that mean they should remove the chatsystem since you can get banned for (ab)using it?

(This was for the people in the other thread that said they should remove emotes if you cant use em, btw).

To be safe i'd say two /rude then you can do another two /laugh some /taunt then /slap and all those while jumping on his body.

kinda dangerous tho as you will lose focus on surroundings and might get raped while doing the "emotes dance"

i have been grped with faril the whole morning and he rarely ever emotes. like he said was only trying to get horner to pop out of the keep, which is what emotes r used for...to taunt your enemies, not offend them oO and it certainly wasn't spam he prolly did about 5 emotes at any given time.

wish i had saved the screenies of the countless times horner has spammed /rude at me...if emotes r against the coc, then please remove them from the game. prevents things like this happening.

And also i've heard of OTT, but 7 day ban for a few emotes, goa have gone way to far on this one imo!
