Emblem Imitation?

Sooooo... in the last few days I've seen several different guilds running around with emblems that look almost exactly the same as that of the Order of the Knights Templar. What's up with that?

An honest mistake?

Deliberate misleading?

Insecurity issues?

Its a popular design, also many guilds dont go around checking every other guild's emblem before making their own.

nah mate it isn´t the exact same emblem as that isn´t posible, besides you have to remember one thing

Well i remember the days when SotL were, together with PL, the first to have their guild emblem on prydwen. Even then when guild numbers were low people soon used very similar emblems (tho not that of PL, we all now that one is just plain ugly ;p). I also remember that OotKT was one of the first, maybe even the first to use the same buildup, but then in red, of the SotL emblem.

Dont think they (me aswell at that time) whined on BW about that. It jst happens m8, roleplay around it. See it as a split of renegade OotKT group who no longer adhere to the guild idealogy or something.

You guys are imaginative, shouldnt be hard to make a nice story around the copycatting of yer emblem.

We changed our emblem to something very ugly, kemor wont let us change it back :(

Who on earth would ever want to copy such crappy guilds emblem as OotKt? Period.

The weirdness in /gu was totally my racket before you came along!

ahh, we can take the knocks, you guys are just jealous that we can carry cloaks so much better, and our emblem doesnt make you bum look fat or anything. It's a tidy lookin design, and a fair few are similar but not exactly

ours is the light grey/red that is the closest to white we could get - ive also seen light grey/burgandy, cream(ish)/red and the grey/red, but i don't think i've seen any exactly the same.

On that note, i remember a rather disatisfied bunch having a grumble when Servants of the Puddle used the same emblem, and Servants of the Cake riled a few...

If someone deliberately copies another guilds emblem, it's usually for novelty value, or a joke, and will often wear out within a few days, if its an accident, most GMs i would hope to be understanding enough to change it...

as said before, "imitation yada yada yada..."

tbh all colors suck, its a shame you can't make you own RGB color for the emblem, especially the secondary colors suck, too bright...
