Eldritch Spec's

What are all the Eldritch's specs like and which one is best for PvE and which one is best PvP?

The two viable specs IMO are:

Full Mana: PBAOE without the focus. Uber fast XP in a good group.

Full Void: Ultimate solo caster.

Anything else is gimp IMO

Mana spec: 50 mana 20 light
Light spec: 47 light 26 mana
Void spec: 47 void 26 light

It's too long to discuss what spec is gimp etc, better use your 20 and 40 respecs wisely and try em all, and ask experienced people. As a void-respecced mana, i'd say mana is better for both pve and rvr, never been light tho.

I'm void, and after the last patch I'm really ungimped in rvr

void is bolts, debuffs, uber ranged ae (this is imo the best ae spell in Hibernia, hits for half the pbaoe damage, but is ranged and got a way larger radius). Void is the uber spec for solo (I don't have much trouble soloing red con monsters at level 50), and a very good pve spec. In rvr it has sucked badly till last patch (aoe is non-usable because of mezz and bolts were nerfed to death), but now bolts are fast and high damage, rarely blocked... much much better, still not the best rvr spec though.

mana is pbaoe, don't expect much more there. Think mana eld pbaoe is the highest dam output in Hibernia, but you have to stand close to your target, without moving... works fine in rvr when your opponents are mezzed, not as good in rvr if your opponents are not mezzed. Good in pve if your group can hold the aggro close together, else void spec is better.

light is dd and utils. nearsight, mezz (sucky compared to bards, but still there), debuffs. the best spec against single targets, but not very good against groups (neither pve or rvr).

All three is useful somewhere, esp void and mana. I think light needs a little de-nerfing to be as good as the other two, though.

No, expect ae disease, ae strcon debuff shout, ae snaredd, single snaredd.

As a void eld I used to be:-

46 void rest light. This is so you get nearsight and a ghetto mezz in light, but you miss the top energy debuff from void. I was very happy with this spec and its a good rvr spec imo.

now I am

50 void rest mana. This gives you the top energy debuff and is easily the best pve spec for a voidy.

Eldritch speccs viable in a good group is void eld, specc for highest energy debuff.

Mana eld, specc for highest pbaoe, and yes aoe str/con debuff is like a insta pbaoe on tanks, and it kills damage output.

void is best vs high lvl mobs (ie: galla raid)

because gtaoe is unresistable (or used to be i think)

not to mention energy debuff for the millions of pbers on the raid.

thus I'm going void with my eld. But I recomend being mana till 40 tfor faster XP
