[pimp]The official announcement was about two months ago. However, I only found out today, and i'm sure many of you havent heard about it. Check out the overview here.

The screenshots are amazing, and the concept is pretty cool.
I just hope i can get a monster of a PC by the time it comes out, late 2005.[/pimp]

I have been following this game, it looks very nice indeed. I am just hoping that they are making the combat more fun and less clunky than in Morrowind.

More importantly, the combat system is now based on a real-time "genuine hit" system. In other words, say goodbye to the old srtle of furiously clickling the fire button and hoping the behind-the-scenes dice-rolling scored a hit. Now your strikes will occur as you really see them onscreen - if you swing and hit the enemy, you score damage, and if your weapon physically misses, you miss. Simple as that. Dan Morris, PC Gamer.

Well that's something, isn't it?

I never really got "in" Morrowind, I thought the exp and fighting system were pretty stupid.

Never got past Ghostgate anyway, maybe I should have given it a bit more time but.. ah well :)

Aye but you could spend over a month questing and not go near ghostgate! I no i didnt for an age.

Elder scrolls experience system is cool.. In no other game does it pay to make your character as gimpy as possible in the start of the game ;)

The only slightly annoying thing about morrowind was with a little bit of foresight you could be a little bit too uber. Although I hear the expansions included some challenging stuff irrespective of how tough you were.

i played the tribunal or bloodmoon expansion cant remember but i got attacked by an assasin at night sold the armor (was worth shedloads) decided to follow the quest only to get my arse kicked in the assasins base repeatedly if they keep the good story plot ill probably buy this game as well.

edit: lets hope they get rid of the cheeky way to level as well :p
just make something with high speechcraft as a main stat and keep complementing the same person you level in no time :p
only in spoilers if someone doesnt know and is still playing the game :)

More spoilers ;)

LOL thats one way but you shouldnt start with high speechcraft you should start with low speechcraft. Remember every elderscroll game you want your primary/secondary/teritary skills to be as LOW as possible at the start and never just use one skill for gaining a level that will gimp your character . Personally I prefered using jump as one.

The picture with the trees and grass and stuff is pretty amazing, wonder what it will run like on this PC.

I think that the game will be delayed until 2006.
It really depends on the company. Does Bethesda have a record of delaying game releases?
