I like my games to be story driven and I Have never played Dark Souls before.

Will I be disappointed with Elden Ring if I buy it?

There are multiples of some bosses but they aren't lazy... at least I don't think they are. It's hard to explain without spoiling the game, it's really good and if you enjoyed Dark Souls 1-2-3 and Bloodborne, you'll love this.

I'm not sure boring is the right word. It's a FromSoft game and you either click with their idiosyncratic gameplay loop or you don't.
