There's a SC template calculator out there which helps. I have the address for it, but I'm new to BW forums and don't know the rules on posting URLs :/

imo, the best way is to find your favourite jewellery through quests and drops (as these can't be crafted yet). Then put those into the SC temp calc and then try to cap as many stats/resists/skills that are important to you as you can.

I think the stats you'll need are int, dex, con and maybe str.

Resists I'm not too sure about. Having resists against the CC spell types reduces their duration afaik and the others help reduce damage.

More hits always help, and power may not be worth the imbue points (not sure about this, another opinion would be nice)

It'll be more fulfilling to design your armour yourself, imo.
