El Cheapo Printer

Anyone recommend an el-cheapo printer for me, please ? If not just a brand, either to go for or avoid.

I've got two 5+ y.o. Epson Colour Inkjets that are giving up the ghost and the cartridges are killing my budget, so the one important feature is cheaper ink.

I didn't mind the Epsons, but given a choice I'd probably not go for them. The best printer I ever owned was a Canon and I am tempted to go for it.

It's actually cheaper to buy a new printer than get ink, especially with the new laserjets.

You need colour?

I've gone through 2 Epson colour printers in about 3 years. I decided that I never really needed the colour so bought a Samsung Laser printer, it takes little time to warm up and gives you a great printout, the only downside I have found with it is that you can't connect it to a NonPC-PrintServer as it is a GDI Printer meaning it relies on the PC doing all the work. The cartridges are £40 a pop, but you will get 1500-2000 prints from them. The printer I got was the slightly more pricy £160 1220M but they do a lower model for £80

Try www.Maxxpc.com I got my Printer from there, I got it cheaper as it was Refurbished it was a Cannon S200 Bubblejet
