a little bird just told me that there might be a trojan worming it's way in with the wolfenstein MP TEST.
I know it's a bit late in the day to shoot my mouth off about this, but can anyone verify?
I guess it's worth scanning your systems anyhoo.

eep!

Couldn't find any mention of it doing a Google search for 'wolfenstein trojan' and my usual anti-virus haunts don't mention it either.

Sounds like a hoax to me, but I'll play as Firewall next time I'm on RtCW.

There were rumours on the release night that there was a RTCW.zip file around that wasn't the Test. This might be what the birds where on about.

that may well be it whipped.
afaik, very few peeps have discovered the [possible] wormie so it way well be something else...
however, they started having probs after installing RtCW so I guess it's a 'heads up' just in case.

Or, to be more specifc, here.

Download the ****xdat.exe file for a nice friendly install program. Don't forget, you ought to download the SuperDAT file instead, if you're not running the 4140 engine.

Unless bandwidth is an issue just stick to using the SuperDAT files. Updated each Thursday, unless there's a high risk virus doin' the rounds.

Thanks for the info SOMEGUY.

But, you will never guess what I found.

When I run Vireus Scan, there is a button which auto updates the dat files.

Who'd have guessed
