editing songs

Is there anyway you can edit songs? skip things out... cut things out, so you can only have the bits you want, for a ring tone etc

you could try looking for Qbase, little bit old now i think but should be ok..

I use the Nero Wave Editor that comes with Nero 6 Ultra Edition. Can load up all sound files and very easy to work with.

I use Acoustica. Didn't know anything about editing music but this program is so easy to use I managed to record stuff in a few minutes . Even bought the damn thing which is unusual for me. It is available on a 30 day trial so that is a bonus. Plenty of advanced features.
