Eclipse broken?

I blame the dumbass 'merkins. Couldn't keep their grubby hands off the only unofficial euro server.

Seems that some people can log in fine but others get stuck at the loading screen. I'm pretty sure I had this problem in beta. It'd be nice if they got round to fixing it at some point.

I'll take this opportunity to ask... how do you get in groups in this game? Friend told me to stand outside the starport in Bestin (or someplace) so I was standing there for ages with LFG on and no one seemed to be making groups :/ I'm sick of soloing it's so boring.

I hunt with a daoc mate most night

we do missions together, 4 in the same direction per trip... earn maybe 10-15k in a few hours, as well as massive stat gains and much needed scout xp

the big groups I've been in have been a failure, since people can't do what they're told, and there's no way to control aggo, and at the time, half of them were using start weapons.

oh, and if you log on, Eclipse isnt on the server list anymore... so it wont be "down"... more like switched off

All the servers are coming online and going offline randomly at the moment, seems that (once again) SOE have made some monumental cock-up somewhere along the line.

I have had exactly the same experiences, the game dynamics simply dont constrain groups well enough and group rolls are almost impossible to organise and run concurrently.

As every character is infinitely cusomiseable the only groups that work seem to be Entertainers with Medics, Melee only groups or Ranged only groups.....anything else seems to spiral into instant chaos the second battle commences.

Oh yeah I got in a big group last night and it was horrible. I was the only melee and everyone else had blasters so they'd sit back and shoot while I was getting my ass kicked constantly.

Was getting about 100xp per mob that would either incapacitate me or almost incapacitate me. Left after 2 hours and my 1 handed melee skill bar hadn't moved :/

If that happens stay with them and melee anything that gets close, running into a pack of mobs isnt too bright at the best of times

We were pulling them out, I had to charge them or else I'd only get 30xp per mob.
