just a warning to others looking for cheap PC bits and pieces, Do not use these worthless amatures.
I ordered over £700 of PC parts from them and they have done nothing but mess me about. They changed items on my order, took items away, charged me for next day delivery, then told me it would arrive on 15/06 (i ordered it on 1/6) 4 50p fan filters were out of stock so they cancelled the whole order. i had to phone them up to get them to put it back on. I have taken days off work because they said it would be delivered, only to find out it wasnt.

Their online ticket system, which is supposed to be a quick way of getting an answer (like right now) has an 8 day turn around, pointless, thier help desk dont really know whats going on and just try and get rid of you rather than dealing with you.

I have been told by many people not to trust them, i went against advise and regret it.

So DO NOT USE EBUYER :)

ooor read their terms and conditions first?
it states if your complete order is not in stock they wont send any of it, you get a e-mail to ask if you want to change your order to have the out of stock parts as a seperate order.
Aswell as the fact that 99.9% of the things their say out of stock on the item info page if it is out of stock.
From what you have said above they have done nothing wrong

Never had a problem with them other than a DOA mobo which i sent back and got a new one next day.

As a system builder i have been using them for many years and never had a problem that was not easily sorted, seems like alot of fuss about nothing cant really judge a company on one order that had some problems.

Never had a problem ordering parts from ebuyer myself, although for a whole system I'd use overclockers.

Although I conceed ebuyer are incredibly cheap - several of my work colleagues have had problems with orders from them.

One ordered a fleurescent case tube and they sent it in a jiffy bag - so you guessed it it was broken when it arrived. OK no problem - they agreed to send another. In a jiffy bag. Broken when it arrived. He explained the problem - don't send them in a jiffy bag, they agreed, and sent another. In a jiffy bag. At this point he cancelled the order.

Another made a substantial order - and when it arrived the box the parts were in had a whole in the corner, which he didn't notice when he signed for the goods. Upon opening the box, all the parts were there appart from the OEM CPU. Ebuyer didn't want to know - as far as they were concerned they had "weighed" the box when it was shipped and it was the right weight for a box full of parts including a cpu (lol how you can weigh a 25kg box and tell its got a 100gram cpu in I don't know). They refused to send another CPU or reimburse him - so in the end the credit card company had to do the legal thing. All in all a nasty incident.

the only confirmation emails i have had are the ones with my order on, which they changed anyway, without telling me. My order is now set for delivery for saturday, i have no hope of it actually arriving though, i have taken two days off work this week expecting it to be delivered (as i was promised by them over the phone and in email) i ordered it last wednesday for saturday delivery first, spend the day at home waiting, nothing, then ask them to deliver it tuesday, nothing, thursday, nothing, oh what fun.

Never had any problems with em tbh... <shrug>

Usualy when I order something on super saver it comes 1-3 days eariler as well.

I did have a PSU that went boom (I didn't change the switch on back to UK power so my fault I guess) from them when I ordered my new computer components, but I just sent it back and they sent me a new one with no questions asked.

My only whine about them is their mail system for contacting them about returns, rather speak to a person directly, but same with most businesses I believe.

Never used Ebuyer, to be honest the name puts me off anyway :touch: .

I've only ever needed one supplier for all the PC's i have built myself and they are Aria. Delivery is great, reasonable prices and great customer service. Keep an eye on their Web Super Specials, you can pick up some fantastic bargins!

Ive found them excellent, free delivery on items, fast delivery, and when i had to return an item after about 10 months (a wireless router that had gone tits up) they replaced it without quibble in a matter of days.

Also the customer reviews are useful, and as said, they are about the best value on the net.

ebuyer are brilliant, never had any problems.

Just because you have a bad time with them is no reason to advise people to NEVER USE THEM. I doubt you can find a company that hasn't made mistakes at the consumer's expense.

My friend was also fucked around by them, numerous times in one order. He orderd this whole system.. it all arrived ontime except the case, which was late.. and buckled when it did arrive so he couldnt build it. Had to wait something like 2 weeks to get a new case, when he finally managed to put the thing together turned out his gfx card (at the time a pretty smart one) was broken, games would run for 3/4 mins then die. Tries to get them to do something about it and they tell him hes had the bits too long and now they arnt able to do anything about it. I think he managed to sort it in the end, but it took a bloody long time, and i had to put up with an extremily whiney friend for a month or two.

Thats service!

Needless to say, i'll be using overclockers when i order my new computer :)

I remember ordering a P4 3.4 last last year and getting a P4 3.4EE which was worth 2x the price I payed so they make up for it in stupid staff that give you nice stuff you didnt pay for xD

Ebuyer will hold an order until it is all in stock, then send it out.

They always email you telling you what parts are missing and suggest you alternatives or expected delivery times. If an item is out of stock and you speak with them, often they will replace it with a similar product usually of greater value for no extra cost.

For large orders all internet companies i have used work to this method including Aria (www.aria.co.uk) and Scan (www.scan.co.uk) and it works fine, excellent customer services for all three when i used them. I guess you may have unfortunately been the exception that proves the rule.

Ordered multiple items from Ebuyer 3 times, everytime i have had an email telling me something was out of stock. I think they may have a problem with their warehouse staff not talking to the office staff as often the item is always displayed as in stock on the website even when i know it is not available (or at least im being told it's not available) :)

Another minor annoyance is that they won't hold individual items of your order, if you do not contact them to replace the out-of-stock items, those items that are in stock may go out of stock while you wait for the others to arrive. This happened to me once when my mobo was out of stock, 2 days later it was available, but the processor now was out of stock :)

the problem was, they didnt tell me the 4x50p (£2.00 worth of stuff held back the entire order) items were out of stock, i had to ask them what the problem was, they then said the order is fine and would get delivered next day (at my expense) it didnt get delivered, it didnt even leave the warehouse. they couldnt tell me why not but promissed to send it out. They then removed the ram and the athlon 64 without telling me, I asked why, they said that both were out of stock. I checked thier site while on the phone and found both items were marked as 100+ in stock, they were put back on the order, and again promissed next day delivery, nothing again. After a long conversation with them where i just said if its not shipped today you can forget it the sent it out, however i paid for saturday delivery because i wasnt willing to waste anther day off work. and they delivered it this morning, it was very lucky i was running late this morning when the delivery bloke turned up because it would have ended up in delivery van limbo for god knows how long.
After i got back from work to start building i have found that some bits are missing anyway, no hard drive, incorrect power supply and no RAM heat spreaders, so it looks like i will have to wait until sometime next week to finish building my new computer. its a joke.

I have heard mixed reports about ebuyer but my experience of overclockers.co.uk was nearly as shit.

Ordered some bits 18 months ago, they duly arrived on time but it transpired that some wanker in the wharehouse had cloned my barclaycard. I became a member of a dating agency and found out that I had ordered £800 worth of electrical goods from the USA!

neat - what did you get? :D haha!

im sorry, im joking - anyway, don't BarclayCard have insurance against that kind of thing? I don't think anyones done me, but if they did, they would be so dissapointed haha! I doubt even a phone company would touch me anymore...

i digress - did you get any replies from the dating agency? It's ok, i understand about the £800 of stuff, but you don't have to use it to cover you joining a dating agency dude ;) amongst friends and all that :m00: heh!
