EAX Controls

Right, some of you will remember me replacing my soundcard to get away from the Creative Labs "shite drivers" symdrome that my computer suffered from. It didn't really fix anything in the end though.

The furthur downside, that although the Terratec DMX 1024 is a very good card, the control panel it provides leaves much to be desired compared to the CL creation.

As a guitarist I quite like playing around with the PC for a bit of recording (it comes and goes in phases really) and the EAX controls that you get with a SBLive or Audigy - with all the detailed sliderbar controls - were really good.

However, I don't have them any more, and the software with the Terratec doesn't have anything like that either.

Does anyone know of some freeware EAX control projects? The card does support EAX - just to confirm that!

I'm a little confused, you want to use the onboard EAX whilst recording? Why not just use vst/dx plugins in whatever you are using to record?
