Earth wizzies GTAOE and resists

It has came to my attention that GTAOE, either cannot or has very little chance of being resisted. To date ive not had one resist and two days ago put it to a big test for a lvl 44 earth wizzy. I was on a prince hunt and used it against both the alb and hibernia prince, i was nuking them both with GTAOE for between 50 and 120 dmg per casting with absolutly no resists, how can this be? Is it ment to be this way giving earth wizzies the ability to seriously hurt large mobs like the dragon/legion and princes or just a serious bug? plz someone shed some light on the situation.

My funky gtae-soon-to-be-nerfed-whine... well there's no answer from Therrik yet, but I bet Mythic will call it a bug and remove it, just like the "no AE drop off on gtae" ^^

Aye get enough gtaoe and we will take down lvl 70+ mob fast

I hit for almost the same dmg on epic mobs in lynn Barfogg as I do with my staff + high earth spec dmg buff... (~50 to 60 dmg), while gtae hits every 9 secs and gets resisted sometimes.
I do miss with my stick, too. But I can almost attack twice with my stick in the time it takes to cast one gtae
Dunno if you do more dmg with gtae or with staff + dmg add at the end of the day, but I guess it depends on luck (the # of times gtae gets resisted or the staff misses)... whatever ^^ Will be nerfed by mythic anyway \o/

I hit legion for 10+ x2 damage with GTAE when I was 25 or so tieris and managed to get killed xxx times on our way there because I got aggro =P

btw i got some massive dmg variance on the albion prince yesterday :/ dmg varied from 60 - 526 dmg O_O??? didnt get screenies last time due to teh heat of battle but next hunt i will definately have some screenies of dmg fire and ice wizzies could only dream of doing to a mob of that level ;P

so you have actually got a "mordred resists the effects" message after a gtaoe??? strange ive never had one :/

Nah, I don't get any resist msges, but if the gtae bag drops exactly at the place where the epic mob is, I guess he resisted it

gtae gets resisted, it's just kinda rare + you don't get a resist msg, think it's a bug, because it's actually the ground casting the spell (same bug that doesn't make gtae get bonuses from relics/RAs/int)

On US servers gtae even stops duels, because it's the ground casting the spell, making the game think "someone else" (the ground) interfered in the battle

You don't get kill msges with gtae either btw, even if you do the final hit
