Santa thought I was a good boy this year and brought me a bluetooth handsfree that you can plug your own headphones into.
The headphones that come with it are, and let's be charitable here, terrible. The frequency range is totally messed up with vocal tones being subdued and overwhelmed by music.
When I plug in my other "adequate" headphones, they are "good enough". "Good enough" is a huge improvement over "terrible".

I'm asking what earbud headphones people recommend. The only provisos are that they must have a 3.5mm jack and cost less than £20.

I have a pair of these. I am not really an audiophile, but I think they have a good sound for the money, and all the reviews I heard at the time were favourable.

I stayed away from the Sennheisers due to too many reports / reviews of ropey build quality, so I went for these:

Sony MDR-EX 38 IPW white: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

.. which reviewed a lot better. I'm very pleased with them, but they are a lot more expensive than the Sennheisers, but you get what you pay for.
