Can anybody recommend a good but cheap recordable or writeable DVD unit?
Seems like Lite-On don't do one, but I really like them.

Nevermind... they're all too expensive and this'd be an unnecessary luxury.

MicroDirect have a load of DVD burners on offer this weekend (£97.53 inc. VAT exc. delivery being the cheapest on offer). Alternatively eBuyer stock a load of these drives, and have a Lite-On model at £89.75 inc. VAT exc. delivery (Dabs have this model for around £94.50 if you're not an eBuyer fan).
I believe these are around the cheapest drives, although I'm sure others will be able to advise you if not.

P.S. Make sure you happy with the types of disk the drive burns before purchasing, since there are a lot of recordable and rewritable DVD standards out there.

Oh and Jonty, the price of that Lite-On drive at Ebuyer doesn't include VAT, it's £89.75 inc. VAT.
