DVD Player conflict ..

Hi,

I recently got myself a DVD RW Station (internal), it was a cheap one (not boxed etc), brand 'NEC DVD RW ND-3520A'. I also had a DVD Player station (also internal) from LG.

Using either one in the pc works fine, but when i want to have both working at the same time; then either PC 'freezes' at windows loading screen (just nothing happends, while bar still moves). or when i enable power during Windows both dics get lost (windows can't find em, whatever).

Got Windows XP SP2, and some MSI mobo.

Any help?

If there are two devices on 1 ATA-cable, make sure the one on the end is set to [master] mode, and the one in the middle of the cable is set to [slave] mode. These modes can be set by a little jumper on the rear of the drive.

hm.. the cable thingy.. i'll try it =P the master / slave is set correctly anyhow.
