Wot do u use to play DVDs on yer PC ?

I'm just curious and want to play around wiv em I have a proper DVD player anyway. Can I just download something for free to plug in WMP or what ?

The latest version of WMP plays DVDs.

umm, depends entirely on whether you have a dvdrom in your comp or not... if you do and you bought it seperately, then it would have come with some form of player software, if not, then you could play them in wmp or you could download the trial of windvd and watch the movies 5 minutes at a time (that's all it lets you watch in one go without registering ) please don't take the second suggestion seriously

I use a full *registered* version of PowerDVD which is pretty decent

I got PowerDVD with this computer. Tis good. And I got 2 free players that I got when I bought Terminator 1 and 2, but they suck :/ (The players that is, cos Terminator 0wns )

powerDVD is also good for playing VCD's. and may i say that oceans eleven, from hell and LoTR were all good. dunnob out vanilla sky yet

Always play DivX's and whatnot in mplayer2 (Windows media player 6.4!!) though, all the other 'media players' are fucking shit, or designed for small children.

I probably got some with my GF3 or DVD rom drive but it ain't likely to be very XP friendly is it ? I just thought there might be a nice free non-hassleware player out there

When I had XP installed power DVD integrated a treat. Just used from within WM player. SORTED, should be OK give it a try, u got nothing to lose!

I use XP and PowerDVD 3 with no worries. WMP uses the decoder installed by PowerDVD 3, so you could use WMP as well, but I prefer PDVD 3
