DVD Advice please !!!

Ive got one of them DVD Roms, on a P2-500 and a TNT 1.
Using ATI DVDPlayer or Power DVD it works great, no skipping at all. Ace picture too.
No need for hardware.

hi there, right.
I have 1 screwed up cd-ron drive and so i basically need a new 1. Im thinking whats the point of paying 40 odd quid for a new cd rom drive when i just could get a dvd-rom drive for some extra dosh.

Now, i could get a pioneer dvd-drive on its own for 60 quid, which is 6x32. I have a p3 500 and a tnt2 U. Will i need a decoder card for this, as i could get that drive and a holomagic card for 116 quid. Is this good ?, and will i neeed the decoder card for my sys, or is it fast enough as it is. Urr, if i were just to get the drive on its own, i would need a player for it roght ??, is there a place where i could download a good 1 for free ??. Cheers, give us some detailed advice plz, me know nothing bout DVD stuff, except the matric would rock on it.

Yeah, what 44 sed. I've got a celeron 366@458 and a voodoo3 card and it plays DVDs fine, my one complaint though is with a CD the drive spins down, thus making half-life freeze for a bit when looking for its CD

ive read pcdirect and amm gonna get what i said, i have the tnt2 softmpg software, looks pretty good.
matrix good on dvd, watched vidio, loved it, want it, will watch another 10 times.
what other great films is there, and wheres a place wherre i can rent without been 18, or having a house or something ?

what you want is a pioneer 103S DVD - 6X DVD/32X CD - good thing is it aint region locked as long as you dont remove rpc jumoer on the rear. Do that and its locked...

Bout 55-60 quid and one of the best 6X dvd's out. Slot loader too rather that old fasioned tray versions

I can get you a 10X pioneer without region lock for 80 inc delivery - same for anyone else whos interested.

All 104S pioneers come region locked from factory, but with a small tweak i can sort it fo' yaz
