such an amazing little game and all for £3 or so.

Figured I'd bump this - Tis the only existing DD thread I found, few months old but meh. Just wanted to give my opinion on it; I played when it came out and stopped playing early December, at that point I had 450 hours on the game (which honestly is a bit excessive, as is my nature, however if you like that game you'd of easily gotten 200 hours out of it back then) I ended up stopping as I'd done absolutely everything.
I returned to the game recently as there has been a lot of DLC since December (+I'm waiting for Tera EU retail!) and I now have 528 hours played with still so much more to do. Chances are, I could've done most if not everything by now had I taken the easy route (get boosted, get given gear, or buy cheap decent gear from "AFK Shops") however that would defeat the point of the game and suck much enjoyment out of it.
TLDR: Longevity for such a cheap game is insane (though I do recommend the eternia shards complete dlc, it's still cheap) and if you like idea of the genre (I will not say if you like tower defense games, because I do not yet I love this and it may appear to be a copy/paste TD game on first look), buy it!

i'd still be playing it but the cheaters ruine dit for me :/ cant even set your own shop up now (or couldnt when I played) because cheaters just fabricate gold/items out of think air and ultimately ruined the community driven item base.

True, that was pretty out of control back then. But since that the mana exploit was fixed (projectiled speed), VAC was enabled, they employed two others to check for real-money / other games virtual good / hacked item shops and from what I've seen they've been promptly banning those people.
That said, I don't look too much into it so wouldn't know the exact situation, playing with the people I play with we do not use shops anyhow (and in future will only do so to sell things)
