By looking at the amount of duels in svasud per day, here is a idea (kinda stolen from hibs )

I say we have a duel tournament, going up in rounds etc.

the idea of getting people to mail me is so that we can get some rules together, however, iam thinking something along the lines of:

1 v 1 ofc.
No RAs.
Duels to the Death.
Match-Ups decided by /random or /roll or something.
No Buffs only self, ofc.
Level req is 50 ofc. however, duels will take place for certain levels aswell as for 50, the main section of tournament will be for level 50s though.
SC armour disallowed due to a large advantage of having it, epic armour only (if you've sold your epic tough shite borrow some)
Duels will be sorted by class types eg. Hybrids, Seers, Casting Class, Rogues.
In the final rounds the best of the best will be fighting against each other.
I was thinking of a entry fee and then a prize at the end for the overall winner, and for the best of class winner.
Duels will be held in Naliten.
Some special events throughout the tournament will happen with 5 v 5 and such if possible, for a laugh besides anything else.

Most my ra's are active (The main ones anyway) Epics been salvaged and also my items are sorted for sc armour, would be too much hassle.

The only way to do a duel tournament is like dem hibbies.

1v1

Any RAs, but if you break a duel with RAs you get a warning. Another one and your out.

Any class abilities (Hamster mode and such)

Any gear thats possible. (Maby excluding charges)

Make it a knockout tournament. Maby seed the top 16 then have other players join from guilds. And maby have 2 wildcard spots that people have to fight about.

Yes and a price ofcourse ^^

Tanks vs Tanks.

SBs vs SBs

Hunters vs Hunters.

Healer vs Healer?

If you restrict RAs and Equipment. No one will show up mmmkay.

Sounds like fun, but please dear god no 'Healer Vs. Healer'

Anyone thats watched (or worse, participated) in a healer vs healer duel will know how long it can take. As a time frame lemmi give an example.

Dueled my GM 'Grilf' before /accepting i make sure all my timer buffs are up. finish casting the last one and /duel accept.

So we get underway, whack, whack, whack...

...whack, whakc, whack,

He insta stuns me, heals himself

Whack, whack, whack.

I insta heal

Whack, whack, whack..

my timer buffs run out, i back off slightly and manage to land my castable mez (go me ) start to rebuff, he purges. we start to whack again.

i /stick and go afk to top up my drink.

come back, use my second insta. realise i'm out of insta heals for a while. he lets off a few more insta spells. i get driven into the ground. As fun as it was it took forever!

Anyway, to the point make the pairings random. its more interesting that way anyway

But would it be fun watching the two "best" tanks fight first round?

Well if it is, lets just invite top 16, then 14 people from the top 14 guilds. (ie each guild puts up one member).

Let other people join for the last two "wildcard" spots.

Random pairings. And double elimination.

Would be very fun.

If nobody is interested in organizing it i would be happy to talk to GOA and be judge etc.

If you limit SC equip, noone will show up, do you know how much time people have invested in that stuff?

Limit to class vs class, have an entry fee, and make a prize.

Allow all ras, becuase alot of people have active RAs, and some pure passive, limiting RAs, screws up those who have gone for active RAs.

Make a song and dance about it so it's exciting

The tournament will be like this. (this is for the Tanks department)

Top 16 tanks (RP wise) seeded directly into the tournament.

A 32 people single elimination (If enough people) will be held for the last 16 spots. (ie 1 round of elimination).

These spots will be filled with first 1 from each of the 32 top guilds. (If not enough then guilds can sign up 1 more etc.)

These are the top 21 tanks rp wise.

If anyone of the top 16 cant make it, the spot will be awarded to next person.

Vez sorry i disagree, a lot, just because someone has high rps shouldn't mean they get seeded.
