Duels!!!

Yesterday after the short patching there weren't many online. It was me and another mid at Odin's and i asked for any action. He told me Hibs and Albs were dueling in Odin's Gate at HMG. I went there and i knew not to touch anyone. And there i saw the infi i wanted to kill all day, Yog A beautiful saracen female but deadly and unfair she beckoned me more and more and when i was real close to her She just attacked me and didnt get a hit in before i was dead...she did stop attacking me when i got like 1/200 health left but the poison instantly killed me There were many nice albs and hibs too like armsmen and paladins, heros and champions and I think they can get a fair duel. So, my point is that if you want to duel someone first take a distance, bow, beckon, and put your attack mode on.
And i DON'T think a fair duel is that the infi/SB/NS gets a PA in you before u even have combat mode on. And, when i came back from Uppland with a skald, still seeing the Albs and Hibs dueling, Yog instantly attacks the skald from stealth. Ofcourse i attack Yog too but i thank all the fair Albs that did realise Yog did wrong and you other Albs didn't attack me or the skald. Well then i think everything is ok and dueled a Briton(arms or pally), put combat mode on, beckoned and bowed. And in that second i get a computer crash, log back asap and when i log back there is full war between Albs and Hibs. So i do think duels are very nice but when we do them they shall be fair and peaceful. For example we make a deal when we got the duels and where we got the duels and how long we got the duels. And those ones who disturb them will get blacklisted and will be priority 1 to kill everytime thereafter. With duels we could also see who's the Man
But rule 1 is that never kill the other opponent, leave him/her with very low health and then you are counted as a winner

I love duels to but personally I prefer to fight to the death, rather then leave things undecided. Naturally though the limited communication emotes allow make it impossible to express a preferance.

Duels as an infi are really tricky as a large portion of damage would normally come from PA and DoT, but both of these don't really give fun duels as PA, CD, SS (and whatever else before stun wears off) means death to most classes 1v1, and DoT poisons mean that it is tough to judge when to end the fight, and the opponent would often die. Both of these result in the duel not being fun (which is the whole point of them).


So if I'm duelling (rare on a live server) I won't use DoT, and will only use stealthed attacks (PA) on some tank classes (usually only some heroes and warriors).

Don't mean to be an annoying git by asking this but....aren't duels banned? I know they r to the death but what about ones with no deaths...only reason I ask is that if they aren't then i may try join in a few but last night when I heard em happening I just stayed away and logged just in case an all ;-)

I was there, and i think they were duelling until some alb caster on the wall nuked 2 ppl dead for no reason (i was one). When i was up again he started running away, so i chased him off down the road, stunned him, and started ress sick nuking him. He got a loada heals, i turned around, and there was an alb army behind me slamming me etc lol. Well yeah i got pissed and so did the other hibs so we gathered at hpk and wiped what albs were still at hmg (about 5 i think). Last time i go to any duels, i'll just kill anyone there i see.

Forgot to say som things.

1) I had nice fights that day with Yog and Fast(minstrel) in Odins before duels. Gotta say they owned a group of 1 zerker, 1 skald, me(warrior) and another skald. So 2 owned 4. Good tactic Yog and Fast! I must say i got a nice feeling i gonna kill you .And after that you killed me in Uppland with Fast again GJ!

2) Why i wanted nobody to die was that mid had no rezzer, we were only 2 warriors there. And i don't think its fair to duel 1v1 with infi/sb/ns vs a warrior/other tank.

3) Yog i wanted to seduce u and thats why i came closer u BI**H!! And then u attack me in that way...bad girl...Infact it was pretty nice to sit beside u without u attacking me or vice versa. You were a little afraid when u moved Was also nice to see albs, mids and hibs peacefully together.

4) I don't understand why u killed that skald without a warning...That was the point when i got a bit dissapointed.. It was dueling after all...u didnt even beckon the skald.

5) just when i was about to duel a pally my comp crashed and when i come back i instantly have 2 albs hitting me

6) I WANT MORE DUELS!!FAIR DUELS! Lets make the /emotions clear how we duel here on boards so there will be no misunderstanding. And its ok to kill the other IF there are rezzers of both realm.

Technically yes but the only reason for this is because they know some people would exploit this for RP Farming by fighting to the death then rezzing, even with the ress sick timer. Which is one of the reasons why we try to stop short of death. Which is a somewhat tricky business at best of times.

As it stands GOA wont ban people for dueling or anything of the like, however they warn you not to be suprised to find a sudden pop of uber guards near by if they catch you.

As I mentioned before, I prefer to meet people one-on-one for a fight to the death, which is still a respectable and noble duel but also keeps the RvR aspect as its to the death.

im so sorry, i logged on that wall the night before. So when i logged on, i see hibbs and albs hitting eachother while others just stood still. So i though, ok its a battle and the ones not moving are mezzed/rooted. So i started to nuke enemies. Really sorry for spoiling the duels. I wouldnt do so if i knew u were dueling. when my guildies started shouting at me in /gu and ppl at scene yelling it was already to late.

^^ was uber fun for about 5 minutes - and i was /beckoning all and i wasnt using PA for duals - i was also very unbuffed....

then it got very dull ... and us albs were discussing killing the enmys

at this point 2 mids turned up and i thought wtf why not

so i PA the skald and run off for fun - all i did was PA ^^..


and to the second thing - ME+fast = uber fun we had some uber fights though me and fast vs you 4... first of all was at amg... we used 1 tactics then and killed all 4 of you and we both lived =)

second time we thought hey and done the same tactics =)

but this time fast died and was left with me soloing warrior and skald...with a zerker running around like a headless chicken

at this point im meleing the warrior and skald couple of dragonfangs later , IP, and FA and they are both dead ^^....then the zerker is still running about and realise wtf has just happened and i stealth...he is lf me ...i PA etc and keel

was a shame fast died second time ...i think that was my fault tbh cause of me slow reaction

i wasn't around for duels but me and yogi had some sweet fun in odins yesterday, nice to get away from the alb zerg atm..


BF have been going to hw and odins to try to avoid zerg if anyone wants to come test their skills against albions finest.

I would love to duel someone, but as a runemaster dueling gets kinda hard, and staff duels arent as nice as duels tank vs tank
A staff duel would just take the hole day
My friend Venomis let me play his Shadowblade when he doesnt play it so if someone wanna duel then, just tell me.
