Most dubstep sounds the same because of the last 2 years everyone and their dog has been doing it. Those that are good at it often get lost in amongst the morass.

Its also the most common (electronic) genre of choice for the bedroom producers that are making their first attempts at music. Most of this stuff is pretty dire - no decent musical content, badly produced and the same generic wobble & drum loops you hear everywhere else. Hey look its that sound in NI Massive. Again.

However, as a springboard to people experessing their creativity I approve, even if I don't like the content. I've seen some guys appearing out of nowhere on music forums I use that start off on this stuff and are migrating to other things as they experiment more. Its wonderful to see people doing this.

Overall as a genre I'm not wildly crazy about Dubstep. Its ok but like DnB before it, somewhat narrow as a genre since it has very specific requirements.

Then of course there's Bro-step Yikes...
