Whats the current "fotm" weapons for us dual wielders?
Thinking of new template, but i wonder if i should go for a "mainhand free" one or just settle for 2 weapons steady.
Any ideas?

depends if its for FG rvr or scirmish rvr.

and depends what weapon type (poke crush slash)

CW will always be a good choice

across all realms just use 2x leggy and SC them however you like.

Got spirit weps on my arms and infil. works quite well. not everyone got skyhigh spirit resist. but the few who does normaly kicks my ass ;p

Malice and champ weap. And then a legendary spirit or matter as backup.

Malice= Cuz its easy to fit into a temp and cuz of its proc( soon to be nerfed )
Champ weapon= Easy to fit in temp aswell.. and is meant to be a main hand weapon with higher DPS than malice/battler etc.
Legendary= Got a pretty unique proc that fires atleast 40 out of 100.

I would drop Malice tbh.

As a dual wield offensive would go

group:

ml10 + CW

Solo:

SoK + CW

Brief explination why:

ml10 procs the ubah mist for interupts in a group.
SoK procs the ubah 50% style reduction shield for solo!
CW procs the ubah slash/crush/thrust debuff.

Always go 20+ on all my sists when making templates, granted i probably could drop one and get a little more hits and the odd cap here and there, but usually i just prefer capping resists. Waddle has 24+ in all resists and most important stuffs capped. <3

It doesn't matter, once the debuff keeps chain hitting. Taking out heavy tanks with LWs actually works .

bit lame to group up your BB and buff resists really (too hardcore must ftw etc)... I used to do it but after a while I thought fuck that.

To be honest, you'd be silly to use a weapon that procs mists.

Omni procs hit for cap damage on them, and it really sucks to fight and then have a proc hit your mist for cap damage.
The best I'd go with is Champ weapon and then Moment of Zen or one of the poc debuffers.

Limited number of melee fights i've seen with mists going off vs omni procs as it's still chance and can go either way. If u let enuff mists stack up and even if 2 or 3 get 'omniprocced' and heal up for 300hps each u can still end up loosing with the overall health transfer.

Re leg weaps. At one point ran about with PD4 and wierd template with pretty much zero magic resists, 400hps, ctd and 50AF. I was ripe to get raped by lws but hardly anyone actually bothered and never even remember it even happening. Often got screwed by malice proc which pretty seriously fucks u up. More recently on champ, remember getting screwed with matter lws one single time, other times got matter lws used still had bot resists up. Remember just as often peeps losing fight cos bad choice of lw (ie spirit when had 26% + cl resists up). Seems a bit of a gamble to me, but i guess fun trying to 2nd guess peeps resists.

On SB, CW+Malice was very atractive, didn't bother with LGW, and with 2 kind of melee damage available could dish pretty decent damage on most toons. One exception: melee rangers
With battler and Malice nerf, would prolly look for a weapon with AF debuff proc but still keep CW.

The merc template im using atm is free mainhand, So if i log on and actually manage to find 7 people at snowdonia and group i'll run mallice mainhand and champ offhand, If im only merc in grp playing interupt i then switch to traitors

the only thing you can safely say is that you will benefit from having a swappable mainhand on almost everything.

Best weapon setup by far for 1.87 is Champ wep offhand and Matter/Spirit lgm mainhand ... Nothing will come close

on merc/bm/zerk + ns/inf/sb i would go for champ + leggy (got same set up on my inc cow). the dot proc wep is nice but its heat based and most people run with capped heat :/

the malice and battler nerfs are huge. both their affect and duration are halfed
