There's something I don't get :(

When I spec 50 slash, 44 cs, 25 dual wield, I hit for 180'ish with amethyst slash and 190-200'ish with diamond.. (mainhand)
When I spec 50 slash, 50 dual wield, I hit for 200'ish on amethyst and 220'ish with diamond.. (mainhand)

All the time, my weapskill has stayed the same :touch:

So my question is:
how does dual wield effect my dmg on a non-dual wield style? Or my weapskill? :p Or simply how on earth does this work? :D

AFAIK DW will not effect the damage (pr attack) on your nonstyled attacks.
It has no effect on WS whatsoever.
But it raises your chance to DW (attack with both weapons at once)
The chance to DW goes up with 0.5 % per point in DW
Hope this answers your question

dw skill won't affect your mainhand damage - you've probably just not got exactly the same target :)

it will affect the damage from using DW styles if you do at all.

Well it's not a matter of different targets, as I'm mostly hitting the same people when I'm in rvr..
I seriously do more damage with mainhand with higher dw spec, and that's why I dont understand it :eek6:

Couldnt it have something to do with speed, doesnt DW influence swing speed to some degree, because it evens out swing speeds on the 2 different weapons. But then now i think of it that would actually make one hit for less i think, aah well just ignore me till somebody who actually knows something comes and clears up the mess i made.

if you doubleswing you still get the style damage based on your mainhand speed not on the combined speed (the DW/LA "haste" effect)

Sounds like it's just luck or perception, you've been hitting people with lower resists/AF/haven't repaired their armour or you've repaired yer weapons recently ;)

It _shouldn't_ affect the damage and all the tests I've seen say that it doesn't - of course that's not to say there's not been a bug introduced.
