Have you tried it with only 1 gfx card? Dunno how well DAoC supports SLI tbh but it's prolly worth a try.

my brother runs SLI gfx and he doesnt have any problems at all ( might be because hes running 2 x Gforce 7800gtx pci express )

can be because your PC parts aint supportet by daoc ( atleast what ive been told my gm's as i have same problem).

try more Ram and other gfx . thats my advice ;)

try having doac on another hdd then your OS, or have 1 daoc client on the same Hdd as your OS and have one on another hdd, run one of each so the game doesnt have to acess the same files from same hdd...
this is often the problem with new fast systems ppl buy large slow hdd's and when multitasking it is a bottleneck!
(and by hdd i dont mean a partition)

You do have a good computer, but i'm afraid I wouldn't class that as easily being able to run two accounts without any lag atall, especially with a single core amd processor. Also two 6600 cards in sli is similar as a singled 6800 card, but without the extra heat. Does your brothers comp happen to have an old P4 that has hyperthreading, as that used to be the way if you wanted to dual log before dual cores came out... If you want to try a cheap upgrade to do it i'd recommend an extra gig of ram, and make a second folder from which to run each separate account from.

Hey thanks for all replies .

My brothers comp is a P3 something , i m not asking to dual log w/o any lag at all i m asking to make it playable :)

I cant even stick one char to my other w/o he losing stick about every 10 sec or lag into mobs the lag is sick really

More advices please !

Have you set both accounts to minimum priority on task manager. Have you recently defragged HD. Have you set effects to off/group. Have you set client sleeps etc etc

i can dual log really good now, but theres no way i can stick with 2 acc on same pc.. the 2nd acc laggs like hell and drops sticky afte rlike 5-10 sec.. looks fine on the acc im running with, but the other just stops, i have amd athlon 3200+, 1024 ddr ram, radeon 9600 pro, should be able to stick imo.. but just doesnt work ;) heard something about radeon makes it harder to stick, dunno why, but geforce seems to work best

Switch processor scheduling to backround services, works great for me :p
I have amd 3k+ ati 9600 256mb and 1,5gb memory, i run both account from same directory with DR client (with ToA graphix) and never lose /stick. Never have needed to change priority or anything, only used /clientsleep backround.
You can access the processor scheduling by right clicking my computer on desktop, then choose Advanced page and performance settings there then advanced again and you shall see the option :)
... at least you can on WinXP

Was reading the above posts, and i have a similar problem that it works just good enough to play, but i do get a few LDs and lag.

Can someone explain to me how i can set the DAOC programs to minimum priority on task manager please?

The biggest improvment I had whilst dual logging was to increase my ram from 1 to 2 gig.

Had loads of problems before doing this - could not stick - random client crashes and LD's. Was lucky to even get a game in rvr with both clients running, now not a problem.

Lots of ram thats all you really need on the spec machine you have.

Right-click on my computer. Choose properties->advanced->settings on the performance tab->advanced->background applications, and you're done. This will make the non active window not get less processor priority, so you will not lose stick. It worked wonders for me on my old system, and I'm doing it now too. It doesn't seem to have any drawbacks.
