just ordered a new mobo and AMD Athlon64X2 3800+ processor.

Just before i start building it, anyone had any issues with DAOC on a dual core system?

Some have had issues in the past, generally solved by alt tabbing, starting task manager, and setting game.dll to use only one processor.

unless you got an old board like the Asus A8V and the board doesn't recognize the cpu until you do a bios update ;)

Rock solid X4400 and 2 GB.

It runs 2 accounts no sweat. Since its CPU over head is very low. I have had a couple of crashes, but really really infrequent. install the AMD stuff for happiness. The 2nd account stays stuck on /follow very nicely.

I actually think it could run 3 accounts. But DAOC stops you. Don't bother allocating the app to any cores.

Well, I got amd athlon 64x2 dual, core processor 4600+ 2.41ghz, 2 gig ram, nvidia geforce 7900 gtx graphics card with 512 mb, win xp pro service pack 2 and I'm getting some random client crashes, and some random insta ld's, like no red lights, just insta ld. I'm thinking prolly some driver bullshit, either motherboard driver (with builtin network card) or gfx driver or processor driver maybe. Or it might be the windows version I'm running, I'm thinking maybe the 64 bit version of windows would be better. Any suggestions? I tried dl'ing the newest nforce drivers for motherboard, and nvidia drivers for gfx card but doesn't seem to do anything. The insta ld's and client crashes can happen both when I'm dual logging and when I'm not, so doesn't seem like that's got anything to do with it, and if I dual log, it's usually only one of the clients that crashes/ld's. If it ld's, I can start up the client again, but if it crashes, I have to reboot in order to dual log again, which is a hassle.
Apart from that, it runs unbelievably smooth, I don't really get any inc lag at all anymore, even when dual logging, and I was dual logging just fine on ml raid with 135 people, no lag, keeps stick just fine etc.
