Dsl? Cable? Adsl?

What should i get DSL, CABLE, or ADSL!

I live in San Francisco, California!SO?

ADSL is a form of DSL, which I think is generally what is refered to as "DSL"... (yes there are other types SDSL, VDSL, HDSL, IDSL, but in the UK we only have ADSL targetted at home users and SDSL is very new, the others are non existant).

I have to say though, if you live in America no one here (i.e. in the UK) is going to have much of a clue as to what's shit hot over at your end of the globe. You'd probably be better off posting on some American forum. Although I've heard DSL is generally better than cable over there, I don't really know, the opposite is sort of true here, at the moment.

Jonty looks forward to the fibre optic lines they're testing in the US. They should be much, much faster then any DSL or cable solution, but sadly they're still some way off
