Is it me, or does it look like one of those ancient nintendo games, that you got donkey kong on?

I'm happy with my PSP.

Thats awsome except you don't have any decent games bar GTA/Lumines yep you got movies/music but personally i bought the PSP for a games machine and it was shit plain shit and the future games coming aint that great either.

Glad i sold mine + 10 games for over £600 at christmas

Rebought a DS-mario kart/advance/Animal crossing and i haven't looked back.

I played the prince of persia game on my mates PSP. It's fucking awesome. Ditto burnout.

Those and GTA are the only ones I've played on it, but so far they've all been good.

No to this conversation again. Go argue in the sticky.

The original DS ha been out for a good long while in Japan, well over a year, and it doesn't look that good as a device. The games are great, but it could look a lot more stylish. I'd like to see a DS Lite up close, though I'm not going to rush out and buy one.

Thank you Will.

And no, me neither. I'd be tempted to get one for my 8yr old though.

Seriously.

I've already got a DS. I just mean I'm not going to replace it with a smaller one. :)

I'd like to make it clear I'm deleting any more PSP vs DS crap from this thread.

This is a thread about the DS Lite, not about the fact that its focus on gameplay pwns the PSP. Do not even mention the black fingerprint magnet again.

Is that clearer?

The way people are reacting to this announcement is as if they didn't expect Nintendo to redesign the DS, sometimes feels as though i'm one of the few who fully expected it when the DS was originally released. I mean they'd done it with every other handheld :/

Didn't bother buying one when they came out because I knew this would happen (plus it gave a great excuse not to grab one at the time). Will likely aquire one of these whojamacallits when they're released here in good ol' blighty.

Not clear enough.

Now go get the power trip else where.

Chaps, remember this thread is about the DS Lite, not whatever petty grievances you have against particular consoles or each other. Please stick to the topic and keep from insulting each as best you can.

Stop being an idiot Aada. He's fulfilling his role as a mod. If you don't like it then go elsewhere where people will listen to your drivel.

When I saw the announcement I was a bit like "oh ffs it's much cooler than my DS".

Agree with Will, it really doesn't look that great as a device. Especially a nintendo device (probably not saying much though). But, that said, I am loving advance wars and mario kart and they won't get better with a nicer machine.

It's just a toss up now whether to buy Animal Crossing or spend 60 quid on getting my car fixed.

I've got Animal Crossing, but I've not been sucked into it. I probably need to set aside some time to play it to let it hook me.

I've got animal crossing to and while I thought it had sucked me in it seems it hasn't, I've lost total interest in it all that seems to happen is I catch fish find fossils and have characters telling me pointless things :(

I think Animal Crossing is the type of game where you play for 20 minutes (or not at all)or so each day.

Usually I’ll see if there are any competitions, listen to what the characters say, find a few fossils, sell a few apples etc.

I personally don’t think its the type of game that you can sit down for hours on end and play.

You’re quite limited in what you can do, so it becomes quite repetitive. I've not tried the online part of it yet but it does seem quite cool that you can visit other peoples villages.

I've come to accept that its the type of game that I’ll "log on" to for a little each day just to check out what’s happening..
