I went to bed reasonably drunk last night, at about midnight, not a good idea as I have to work today (saturday).
However. I live near a park. Now what was I forgetting about the first warm friday night for a while and living near a park?
Oh yes. I was woken up and 1.30 to the cries of "leave it hes not worth it" "im gunna kill you" etc, from drunken kids. This went on until about 3.30, and of course my windows are wide open and I can hear everything from half a mile away.
Now Im at work, Im nackered and only counting the days till my shotgun certificate turns up :p

Indeed throdders, it was a lovely evening last night.

It's very rare to be able to sit out in Edinburgh at midnight and it's still warm. Getting back into my mate's car, it read 20 degrees on the dash; had to stick the air con on.

If only we get more days/nights like this, we'll be back to pishing rain and gales soon enough :(.

I did notice a larger number of tracksuited teenagers hanging about bus shelters, not the best.

Frankly its nothing like you would imagine. To have a shotgun certificate is not like a full firearms licence. You do not have to show need for a start.
Ive discussed this with the firearms officer, they are aware of a little previous that I have, and seem to be happy that all is ok. However the fat lady aint sang yet, so Im waiting to find out.
Oh, and I dont really want to kill them with a shotgun, thats just internet talk, mr Firearms Liason Officer :)

I used to teach kids in the army cadets before I shagged my knee for the third and final time playing rugby :( A few people I remain in contact with still use shotty's. 22's even airsoft etc.. used to go too Purfleet a lot when it was open. Have done clay pigeon and feathered as well, SLR, SA80, most of the British forces issue guns, best live firing I have ever managed was the old Bren machine gun, awsome is an understatement, used to drag you forward if you didn't hold tight. The done thing was to fire off two rounds and insert through the stand feet ;)

Your shotty licence will come in handy for keeping those piss heads quiet ;)

Totally agree, the only reason why I chose to teach kids was after I applied to become an MP as a dog trainer, I was failed at Sutton Coldfield on the grounds my hip joint is slightly too larger than the socket, possibly what lead to my knee fooking up? Is cool working with teenagers anyway, keeps them off the streets....

But yeah I agree the weapons are not dangerous at all it's people, I have met some people online in a realism / shooting capacity (mainly from America) that take it far too seriously :( Sad part is none of them have ever had the guts to enrole in the real military forces but they love to tell you what grouping they can get at 500 meters ;)

If I find them I will show you some pictures I have been sent over the years from realism gaming fans, scary is an understatment ;)

Funny thing is though the most obnoxious f*cker looks like this ;) Says a lot really, give them an internet connection and annonyminity and they think they can own the world ;) Quite clearly either a ) Bullied at school by the big kids or b) an over bearing Father ;)

Why do we drink?

To get drunk?

To feel better?

Eh cos the stuff is in the fridge or in the cuboard - infact in the house?

You know wot if it wasn't for liver damage I would probably remain permanently drunk. Everything is so much more agreeable to my bemused senses then. I tend not to drink until the evening though. Love to relax with a nice whisky or summit. Bliss to me is to be outside on a hot summers evening with my guitar and a bottle of booze!
