well.. thers a few specs 2 choose from:

1. (CC)

36NA - get u the 1st (and only worth speccing for) insta ae-root
40reg. - gets u full rez + 2nd spread heal.

2. (buff/heal)

40nurt - 2nd best haste + full ylow resist buffs
35 regrowth - 75% group instant heal + 1st spreadheal
9na - well.. get u a lvl 7 interrupter + a lvl 8 ae-interrupt root

(the above spec is mine - most other druids would prolly by now ditch the na and get 36 regrowth instead for some reason)

3. (heal/buff)
40 regr. full rez + 2nd spread heal.
36 nurt - gives u full set ylow buffs - except the haste (blue con)
again, i dont c the need 4 36 nurt instead of 9 na, but.. this is - i believe - the most used spec for druids atm.

ofc theres lots of other specs, and the spec 1) require that u either got a buffbot or 2nd druid whos specced nurt.

the ones here are the most used afaik. And i dont think speccing full regrowth will get u much, ofc u get the 3rd spreadheal, which is the heal which is used 99% of the time, therefore i dont think that the higher single target will do much good.
Apart from this, the 100% instants does NOT give u 100% hps.. atleast not the druid 1..

hope this can be of help..

if u want 2 contact me, feel free 2 do it either here, in #vgn or ingame

- Tuathra

ps. this prolly got some flaws which im sure some other druids can fill in for me.

You missed a few specs ^^

19nurture, 35regrowth, 36nature

Solo(ish) spec but can group as well. Bit of an allrounder.

31nurture, 25regrowth, 36nature

This spec definately -IS- for soloing with. Low regrowth, compared to all the other specs, means you would struggle to keep up with heals in a group. However you do still get both instas ( single and group ) and better buffs though. Kinda useful for pwning weeweres in CM :D.

I personally have used both those specs. The second was my original spec, but swapped to the first when I got groups for RvR.

At the moment I am 40regrowth, 36nature. Works if you have a bot or a second druid specced in buffs. If you haven't got either, you're in trouble :p

The insta heals have something to do with unbuffed hit points, or dont include +hits from items. I had 45regrowth at one time, and the 100% instas NEVER healed for 100% ( although when you think about it that kinda makes sense since if you heal someone for 100% they were dead :p )

Which brings me to the third spec:

29nurture, 45regrowth, 6nature

A bit dodgy this spec, as you have NO defenses what so ever. No pet worth mentioning. No aoe roots ...well 15 seconds if its not resisted and you actually manage to cast it lol. Really need a LOT of help in RvR with this spec. Nice heals though, even though the group heals are a little pointless since they introduced spread heals to be honest, but they look good.

I dropped that spec because I was tired of dying with no insta's, no end and full mana.

Now I die with half mana, no end and no insta's. Normally the only time I go oom in RvR is if someone gives me a ghetto rez :D

P.S. Please stop asking me for resists and spec buffs....

Full reg is not needed, 40 covers all you need (maybe 41 but the heal you get there costs more mana than the spread and heals for less)

Rest in nurt, while 35 is enough tho, yellow str/con and int with blue qui/dex and haste is exactly what you need to fully buff a grp before running out of conc

And the rest in nature maybe if you dont have 36 nurt or 41 reg, to get some ae root or dot or lvl 12 pet for better interrupt

Not gonna give my entire specc, but i followed these guidelines:

- I hate buffing! :p However I also wanna make sure I can buff if its needed. So i have a little lower nurt than the normal 36 the most have. Which means I dont have to buff much when im grped with another druid. (yes I'm lazy, sue me! ).

- High regr, minimum 40 regr for 100% rezz. Some dont see the point in 100% rezz, well I do. To quote an angara: "when you need to rezz during mid battle, you alrdy failed at your job". i dont agree actually. 3-4 assisting savages pounding on your mage: mage dead in a nanosecond (even with Battery on). Rezz him, he still has 50% mana, so he can cast a few bolts or whatever from the place you r standing (normally you r standing a bit away from the battle).
==> I have mcl2 and raging power: be sure to get it as a druid asap imo

- Some lowish nature I love too: little higher pet, poison, a little better root: all to interrupt. When your grp is doing great, you have time to do this. Rooting tanks, dotting mages and send a wolf in their ass.

i dont know what psycho babble all these guys said and i cba reading the nederlander stuff

so

to put it blunt

there's 3 lines, and its all nice and perfect.

you have the druid at home, he's the buffbot, and he specs high nurture.

you have the field druid, he's the healer, and he specs high regrowth.

you have the new-age CC-ae-instant-abuse-root druid, he's also a field druid, and specs high nature.

now, each spec has its benefits, and each spec rocks! in rvr..how?

well, mister.home druid buffs everyone from home and makes people strong! and cast fast! and makes them do more damage!

mister.field druid runs in the group and heals people! he keeps them alive so you win and people smile!

mister.new-age CC-ae-instant-abuse-root druid think's he's a bard and likes to drive, and all he does is use his instant ae-root, and if that's not ready, then the cast ae root, or single roots.. he also helps mr.field druid to heal a bit usually.

so, to sum it up.

all specs have their purposes - pick one primary, and choose what you think you would like to be doing as a secondary, and go for it.

druids rock imo.. 3 valid specs is nice.. all good primaries, all good secondaries.

Well, thats actually the best advice a person could get for this game: dont let 'standard' templates dictate your discision. Do what you want, its your char.
I probably should get a little higher nurt, but I cba :D

\o/ nice summary. I liked this part ;) "mister.new-age CC-ae-instant-abuse-root druid think's he's a bard and likes to drive"

a note to everyone would be that there might be an active buff in the nurture specline in the future. would work something like clearity. most sertain it wont have the exact same effect as clearity tho ;)

Final spec for my druid (if she ever hits 50 that is).

Really like this one as you get nice insta's, best pet and the buffs are still reasonable.

I was thinking of a final spec of:

39 Nurt, 35 Reg, 12 Nat.

Is this spec viable?
