Drop rates

Anyone noticed mobs are dropping alot less often since SI? I used to xo in doden's for ages lvling my warrior and got abot 30 uniques in total, I went lastnight with my savage and killed everything I passed, even the innocents, and I didnt get 1 drop in the hour and a half I was there. Prior to that, I did wraths for 2 hours none stop pulling with a friend and nothing dropped at all. Anyone else noticed this change?

hmm yea, i been farming wraiths for quite long now about 4 days on and off, so far i only have 1 crappy helm drop and no boi. normaly loads of helms+legs used to drop

I camped a spot in Avalon yesterday for about 3.5 hours and got about 10 unique drops, almost a whole set of Studded (helm didn't drop but two sets of sleeves) as well as two longbows, a necklace and a whip.

They weren't that good unfortunately, except one of the bows that was 93% Qua with +3 LB on it (rest of the stats were crap).

Btw, are you talking about drops in general, unique drops or the pre-SI kind of drops? My feeling is that the unique drops are very frequent in the new SI area, but they are usually total crap and only worth selling/trinketing.

Think you are getting the same bad drop rate i've been having since release, well it picked up while i was lvl'n my shaman in spindel. 2 backpacksfull of drops. Think its just the fucked up generator, that is giving you some trouble. Its like someone who farms wraith gets 3-4 bois from a few hours of pulling, and someone dont get jackshit in twice the time.

Me and damon pulled wraiths for about 11 hours total, got 3 chillsome helms, 3 axes, and 1 boi, that dropped after about 9 hours.

Bet you are using some hack, you cheater you. Nah just kidding. Some people are just dam lucky, some people like me are unlucky. Got my first usable drop at lvl 40 with Fafnir.

was ok for me when i farmed for boi`s a couple days ago.. spent an hour chain kiling wraiths.. then all of a sudden.. boi drops.. so keep pulling.. 12 mins later another boi dropped.. so i thaught best quit while im ahead.. cos i doubt i would of had another drop for hours ;P

Item durability

I don't know if anyone else noticed but i seams to me that after the pach that implemented Spellcrafting, the durability of armor and weapons goes down faster than it did previusly. Just 2 hours seals farming in DF and you loose about 2%-3% condition or maybe more. Wich means you have to repair more often your armor and looses durability.

I know it looks irelevant with the thread but both subjects have the same influence to the game. They increase play time.....

Yup I also found that your durability, and not just on armour, in general drops realy fast. :/ a shame but its true you need a "smith in a bag" with you all the time to keep fit.

About the drop rate:

Hy'Brasil: that place have at least two places with high drop rates, thats the Fomorians wander around find a good spot and you'll head home with 8 to 12 items after 2 hours. Well they are mostly crap but there are good things also ... and I love to salvage the gimped stuff and get free materials for my crafting.

The other places that is good to farm is at the twisted sylvan vally, tons of mobs good cash and a good drop rate also.

Marfarc (or what ever its called): was there for the first time yesterday, it has a low drop rate but I think we made 6 or 8 drops yesterday with just 3 guys. And most of them where quite good.

General hibi: Havent felt any change there.

I was XPing my Bonedancer last night in SI (Bjarken?), and was literally inundated with drops, about every 3rd mob. Of course none of them were suitable for my char, but Hey-Ho.

Nope actually, droprate improved with certain mobs in SI (Albion that is).
Ghost families, lvl 50-55 mobs, 4-5 mobs and 0-5 drops a pull. 80% of the times its 2-3 drops. All is lvl 50/lvl 50-RR5 stuff and all qua 93%+. Utitlity 35 to even near 60. 36 drops in less then 3 hours, can't say thats bad

wish there was a spot like that in mid :/ cant find any where that has a decent drop rate tbh.

spam less and remove all chars less than lvl 40 in ur sig, nobody cares anyways..

Hmm where is this place (loc, zone)? Sounds like a good place to drag the guild one night on Camlann...

If my level 50 Thuergist is group leader the drop rate is extremely low, as soon as my level 38 reaver forms the group the drops start flowing. In Caldey with my reaver as group leader this morning I had 14 drops in about 90 mins, before that with Theurgist as leader I had 1 drop in about 60 mins.

Fafnir gets crappy or no drops, bad luck in lotto. Grimbane my warrior is luckier with drops. My Bonedancer got backpack full with lvl10-16 drops from envydrakelings and goin lvl 8-9 so wonder if the char is given a randomgenerator when they are created, should not be that big difference.
