Downloading Microsoft Windows patches for use on another machine

Situation is this.

Someone I know has Windows 2000 and a crappy internet connection, I have Windows XP Pro and ADSL, I'd like to download the updates for Windows 2000, burn them on a CD, and then install them on the Windows 2000 machine.

Anyone done this ? Any tips ?

Aye - and if you go to Windows Update on his machine (using his crappy internet connection) first, then you can obviously get the full list that you specifically.

The main forseeable difficulty is that sometimes there are patches for patches, and there may be an specific order that patches need to be installed in. I'd assume date order, but knowing MS there may be issues with that.
