After a week of the most frustrating game play ever I think I'm doomed to remain on level seventeen for ever!

I've gone up and down those bubbles more time than a sub aqua diver and at ten silver pieces a time for health my poor hunter is now just that .... poor. Normally I only meet an untimely end two or three times a level, score at the moment is about 13 uke:

Please tell me everyone else has these levels and it's not just me. Are there better times ahead?

At level 17 you should try the kill creature tasks in Gna Faste or the Guard Outpost NW. There are 4 sentries in total and 1 of them will always give you a sijmple tasks to kill a creature that will con yellow or lower. Each kill is worth half a bub of exp and you also get money.

I assure you that almost every player have had a few of those damned lvls. At least I have. I'm under the impression you play solo, dunno why. Try to get a group or go explore a bit, just take a break and then try again that usually solves it. Good luck.

Thanks for the good advice. Yep taken tasks from the tower. Grouping just got me killed quicker (I'd draw in the target with a nicely placed arrow, my group would bugger off!). Might be better if I joined a guild I guess.

I think you're right. Will take a break for a little while, start a new character or something and come back with fresh eyes (and heart) later!
