The official Doom movie site has opened offering a sneak peek at the upcoming Doom movie staring The Rock.

A recent interview with Karl Urban can also be found on Aint it Cool News.

KARL URBAN: In my mind, this film is probably a direct adaptation of a game as you can get. In fact, I think it's probably the most honest video game adaptation that's ever been made.

The 'most honest video game adapation that's ever been made'? Doom was a classic and to match the experience of the game on the big screen would be impressive. As always the truth will be in the viewing...

I think the "most honest adaptation" would suit hollywood at the moment. 0 depth.

It's not in mars....(nevermind!)

There's no hell creatures.

There's flashlights on the guns.

I don't expect much outside of gore, guns plenty of action and The ROCK being well the ROCK... hardly another Matrix and far from the Event Horizon influenced scenario you would come to expect when Hell did in fact decide to show up on your doorstep...

but... that aside... I reckon it will be a good action film, I also reckon a lot of teenagers will love it. Hopefully it will influence a whole new generation to write some darker more meaningfull material?

Roll on Doom the series - Sky 1 :eek7:
