I'm hauling my hairy white arse round a 5k run for charity in July. Anyone who feels particually generous at this bounteous time of year (come on, it's payday for most of us this week) should take pity on my beer damaged carcass and put a little money towards my little bit of help fighting the fight against cancer.

People at work have been particually non generous, but then again i am leaving this sorry arsed excuse for a music company tomorrow (with over 200 cd's in my back pocket.....) so i need help!

Yeah, it's not that much of a challenge, although i haven't run for about 10 years even close to seriously. I'm kind of doing this as a test to try to get myself motivated again looking at building up to a 10k later in the year and who knows from there.

I work in an office full of women, I'm already paying about a tenner for the Race For Life.

did the 5km in just over 30 minutes in blistering 2pm heat. Was by far and away the hardest think i've done for a long time. including the fact i was harbouring an injury to my left food which i made worse during the run

was a really good day though. went to support fiancee and friend for their cancer research race for life and it was amazing watching 10,000+ women queueing up to run for charity.

tried despearately hard to stay hydrated up in blackheath in no shade for 4 hours and ended up drinking about 4 litres of water before the race even ran.

was really good thouh (would be better if i made more in sponsorship though

got beaten in the end in the run by 4 12 year olds though which was a bit discombobulating though!
