Does xbox have a future

I know nothing at all about this console, I never owned one or even played on one, but I wondered if it has a future. Do they plan on making newer versions, an xbox 540 or something? I remember when the first one came out and thought it would flop straight away, but I also thought the same thing when the Playstation came out while smuggly playing Gun Griffon on my Sega Saturn, and they both appear to be still around.

I'm not thinking of buying one or anything, just went to Toys R Us and was pondering on the future of gaming really and wondering about the xbox because it's the only one I never tried. Well actually I haven't had a go on a P3 yet either, but I have had the previous versions of that.

Some of us have! I use mine twice a week to commute to work, the rest of the week I use my magic flying carpet.

Yeah, they're so much better than those old things, now you can read your mail on the way to work without worrying about banging into someone.

but yes, Xbox will be around for ages. MS has almost endless resources to put behind it and while they want to be in the console market, they will be. Given also that the 360 has built upon a moderate success from the 1st console its only growing stronger each generation.

I'd like to see it continue.
