Does turning your light on/off make a difference to other players?

just wondering, it makes a difference to me ofcourse allowing me to see myself..
how about other players?

yes, as far as I know, your head seems to 'glow' when your torch is lit. So allways turn it off when you are doing RvR

Correct me if i'm wrong (politely plz )

In RvR at night, you can get spotted easily, that's all.

it makes your torso light up to others too, makes some dyes look better
If your wearing all black tho only your head lights up

Charcoal color looks horrendous with the light... on studded you can see the brown.

No dye I know of looks good in torchlight apart from maybe black. For the sake of your realmmates who spend time fitting out nice looking dyes, keep it off or you will ruin how they are meant to look

Red can look pink, dark looks brown (on leather), cheap dyes look just grey... etc. Terrible :/

u need royal dyes, then they look nice with your light on.
Crimson and royal blue are quite nice.

Anyone actually seen someone switching their light on and off? Or are ppl just assuming?

You can most definitely see when someone else has their torch on. Definitely. No question. I have screnies to prove it, but they are all mine! And no one else is allowed to see!

Yeah I know Royals do better, seems to be fairly intentional "quality" issue between light and royal. However torchlight still ruins some colors, such as black on leather. No royal black around

it looks like shit on studded (and less shit on plain leather)

royal green is affected a little by the light.
But i wear all green for hib camoflage hehe
then again, royal green is only 6g..

You can definetly see a difference when others turn torch on/off.
Simply ask someone to turn theyr torch on/off and see for your self.
Always keep the torch off in RvR
