Does the GeForce 256 only work on Pentiums?

I have seen a few specs for the Geforce 256, and each one says under system requirements, Geniune Pentium II
Is this really needed, cos I WANT ONE!

And i have an AMD K6 III 450

It will work with your K6-3 m8 no worries...

make sure u have latest agp gart drivers for your motherboard tho...
