Does skill points gained from Realm Ranks gain you new styles?

Does skill points gained from Realm Ranks gain you new styles?

Or does it work as item bonuses?

If I train shield to lvl 40 and get to Realm Rank 3 ( dont know how at lvl 40.. but yet ) will that net me with the slam skill you get at lvl 42?

Works as item bonuses; no skills.

No, points from realm ranks act like points from items (although they add over and beyond your +skill cap from items).

I think the ONLY skill it will help gain 'styles' in is envenom for shadowblades (and item+'s do the same).
