I have a bottle of malibu that i opened on the 10/05/08, is that fucker still ok to drink? i know its booze but some booze and all i know you cant drink ages after you opened

If you want the "pure" stuff,
look up something called Cacacha.

and what is cacacha ?
it's basicly the same thing as rum, it's just made purely from sugercane juice without added molasses or spices, and is often tripple distilled.

the two I've tasted include

GERMANA and YPIOCA

like Ron Zacapa, El Dorado, Pyrat Xo, Diplomatico, or the Plantation series

If any of you are looking to try a good cheep starter rum to drink strait
You might want to give El Dorado 12 a go,

It's dark, sweet, spiced and has a very clear defined Suger cane Finish
easy on both your palate and the laides,

If you like it you can then start up on some of the finer stuff like the 15+ and the rhum agricols ect
